Love & Victory
I began working with Brooklyn-based design atelier Love & Victory in 2019 on a series of fundraising products for the National Network of Abortion Funds. Our campaign successfully raised over $10,000 and I was then hired as official Copywriter, Assistant Creative Director, and Site Administrator for the studio, where I worked on projects for esteemed brands like Campari, Hendrick’s Gin, and Maker’s Mark.
I revamped L&V’s DTC and social media copy to strengthen their brand voice and identity, acquired a roster of new clients focused in the music industry (including Turntable Lab, Japan-based chain Face Records, and public radio institution WFMU) and helped conceive a series of new in-house products including bandanas, holiday ornaments, vinyl record accessories, and apparel that increased their direct-to-consumer and wholesale revenues.
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, I helped spearhead Negroni To-Goni, another fundraising merchandise project for the US Bartender’s Guild Emergency Assistance Program that also included a series of open-source, printable adhesive labels (conceived in collaboration with Campari brand ambassador Anne Louise Marquis) for use on to-go cocktail sales by bars and eateries across the United States. We raised upwards of $4,000 during a period when funding and support for the service industry was in short supply.
My tenure at Love & Victory was overflowing with simultaneous enjoyment and challenge, opening doors to new ways of problem solving and collaboration. I’m especially proud of this body of work as it expanded and strengthened my skills in marketing, fundraising/social outreach, product design, and creative direction from conception to completion.
